Afro-Cuban percussion specialist, Memo Acevedo was born in Santa Fe de Bogota, Colombia before moving to North America. He is both a well-known drummer/percussionist and dedicated educator, having taught at Humber College, New York University and Drummers Collective. Memo's playing credits include Tito Puente, Gonzalo Rubalcaba, Tom Scott, Mark Murphy, Dave Valentin and Stephen Stills, to name a few. A couple of years ago, Memo designed an original stick for the timbale which REGAL TIP has launched as the "Revolution" timbale stick. A unique and pioneering stick known for its strength, balance and originality.
